JEEP XJ REFRESH

With this Jeep refresh, I was originally asked to rework the rear cage design and better mount the shocks. It seems as though the driver rear leaf had broken and caused the shock to hyper-extend/collapse and shear the cross-bar from its mount. As the rebuilding commenced, the snowball affect occurred; installing some new front control arms, Rubicon Express springs, leaf springs in the rear, and later on building out a new exhaust with a Black Widow Muffler along with the rear suspension rebuild.

While I was at it, I patched up some rear panel work and added some additional tie-ins for the rear unibody-type structure. The rear shocks were originally mounted and affixed to the rather thin sheet-metal in the rear hatch space. Lower shock mount tabs were also affixed to the top of the leafs to better align and cycle the suspension throughout its travel.
